U17s - Bradford Vs Barnsley

Barnsley under 17s' got their season off to a great start with a
hard-fought, well deserved away win at Bradford.

Despite getting off to a good start, the young Shaw Laners fell behind
against the run of play when an awkward bounce let the hosts in for a
slightly fortunate score to lead 5-0 at half-time.

The hosts then extended their lead to 8-0 on the resumption but
Barnsley responded brilliantly.

Their reward came with a try from man of the match James Read, showing
great power and technique to score.

Thistlewood notched the conversion to take Barnsley to within a point
of the home side and then kicked a superb penalty to clinch a 10-8
victory.
